Shredding Day 2019

Dear Residents:

I am pleased to announce that the Borough of Cliffside Park in partnership with the Bergen County Utilities Authority is offering Cliffside Park residents a complimentary paper-shredding program on Saturday, September 14, 2019 in the Cliffside Park Municipal Complex parking lot located at 525 Palisade Avenue between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. rain or shine. This paper-shredding program complements efforts already in place to recycle electronics, tires, and hazardous materials.

Many of us accumulate papers in our homes without realizing it. There are no doubts about it, everybody needs a shredder at some point! Shredding your documents is the only way to ensure that they can be destroyed safely. This program is an opportunity to have your confidential documents shredded at no cost to you or the Borough of Cliffside Park!

In an office environment, when a client or customer provides you with data they expect that data to be kept safe. They do not expect their data to be stolen or used for any other purposes except those that they give express permission for. Correspondingly, professional paper shredding services can ensure that every scrap of paper is properly disposed of so that the information contained on that paper is gone forever. Simply throwing the paper away or recycling it puts your clients in danger and this can damage your reputation.

You do not need to remove paper clips, staples, or paper board binder covers. This shredding day service is for documents only; other paper products will not be accepted. You may recycle all non-confidential papers (hardcover books, magazines, newspapers, etc.) through our local municipal recycling program.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office at 201.945.3456.

Respectfully,

Thomas Calabrese
Mayor
